Physics related aspects of MinBias and Premix library

MinBias secondaries are pileups which are basically the extra collision results and when you use this it is called classical mixing in the pre/premix campaign. this gives a /neutrino.../premix library that is the premix used remotely.

Due to a lot of IO, we don't do xrootd for MinBias as it kills the xrootd n/w.

for premix, we just read the whole premix profile at once. So you can do xrootd for PREMIX pileup.

manually assign without full MB - use -m, -go, --site-whitelist parameters. this is used where workflow has no input but only minbias required as secondary. site-whitelilst should be only sites where pileup i.e. MinBias is available.

Gen input can be read remotely as it's very small.

GenSim input needs to be at site. primary dataset shouldn't be read remotely.

Premix library is produced and saved at CERN and FNAL only. So when we do simulation (the SIM DIGI etc step), we read those library via xrootd
